We are a licensed bathroom remodeler working across New Orleans and thirteen surrounding cities. Bathrooms are the only room we take on, and the same crew stays with yours from the first measurement to the last wipe-down.
Doing one room means we meet the same problems every week and have already solved them: how a niche lands between studs, where glass wants to sit against a wall that is not plumb.
It also means we are straight about scope. A liner, a new surround and a full gut are three different answers, and we will point you at the smallest one that actually fixes your problem.

Framed, semi-frameless and frameless glass, measured after the tile is set so the panels sit true against walls that are rarely plumb.

Aging in Place
An accessible bathroom comes down to five things: blocking behind the tile for grab bars, a curbless or low-threshold entry, a walk-in tub where a bath is wanted, slip-resistant floor tile, and a comfort-height toilet. All five are far cheaper to build in while the walls are already open than to retrofit later.
How It Runs
A bathroom renovation runs in three stages: a free measured estimate, a design where tile, fixtures and layout are chosen, then installation. A full bathroom takes two to three weeks from demolition to walkthrough, and a shower-only replacement is usually done inside a week.

Before You Budget
The price of a bathroom remodel is set by six things: whether the plumbing moves, the size of the tile, the condition behind the walls, the glass and fixtures chosen, whether a permit is needed, and how much is being replaced. We price after we measure, because a figure given over the phone is a guess that gets corrected later.
Keeping the toilet, tub and vanity where they already sit is the single biggest saving available. Moving a drain means opening the floor, and in a raised New Orleans house that often means working from underneath.
A tub-to-shower conversion in the same footprint avoids all of that, which is why it lands so much cheaper than a full reconfiguration.
Small mosaic and patterned tile takes far longer to set than large-format porcelain, and labour is most of any tile bill. One feature wall in mosaic with plain tile elsewhere gets the look without the hours.
Natural stone needs sealing and more careful cutting, so it sits above porcelain on both material and time.
Until the old tile comes off, nobody knows whether the substrate is sound. Rotten blocking, a failed shower pan or a joist with water damage all have to be made right before anything new goes on.
We write the estimate on what we can see, and we tell you plainly what we would check first once it is open.
Frameless glass is measured and cut after the tile is set, and it costs meaningfully more than a framed enclosure. The same spread applies to fixtures and hardware.
These are the easiest items to adjust late, so we leave them open until the layout is settled.
Work that moves plumbing or alters framing needs a permit from New Orleans Safety and Permits. We pull it and we schedule the inspection.
A like-for-like replacement usually does not need one, which is part of why it moves faster.
A liner over sound walls, a new surround, and a full gut down to the studs are three different jobs at three different prices. Most homeowners need less than they expect.

When to Call
A bathroom needs more than a repair when the floor feels soft, the caulk keeps failing, the tile sounds hollow, or a musty smell will not clear. Each of those four means water has already reached somewhere it should not be, and surface fixes will not stop it.
A floor that gives underfoot near the tub or the toilet means the subfloor has been taking water for a while. Tiling over it hides the problem for a season and makes the eventual repair bigger.
This is the one worth calling about the week you notice it.
Caulk that cracks or blackens again within months of being redone is not a caulk problem. It usually means the pan or the substrate behind it is moving, or holding moisture it cannot release.
Replacing it a third time will not change the outcome.
Tap along the wall tile and listen for a drummy note. That hollow sound means the tile has debonded from whatever is behind it, and water is travelling in the gap.
Loose or crumbling grout in the same patch usually confirms it.
A musty smell that survives a clean and an open window is coming from inside the assembly rather than off the surface. In this climate that often points to a failed wax ring or a slow leak inside the wall.
Air freshener treats the symptom and nothing else.

We renovate bathrooms across seven Louisiana parishes. Inside the city that covers Lakeview, Mid-City, Uptown, the Garden District, Gentilly and Algiers, then Old Metairie, Kenner and River Ridge, and out to the Northshore.
Orleans Parish
Shotgun and double-gallery houses rarely have a square bathroom or a spare inch. Most of our city work is winning usable space back without moving a load-bearing wall.
Raised pier-and-beam floors also mean drain work is reached from below, which changes how a job is sequenced.
Jefferson Parish
Metairie, Kenner, Harahan and River Ridge are largely slab-on-grade, so moving a drain means cutting concrete. Keeping the existing footprint matters more here than anywhere else we work.
Second-bathroom and hall-bath updates make up a large share of what we install across the parish.
Northshore & River Parishes
Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, Slidell and Hammond bring larger primary bathrooms and more appetite for a freestanding tub with a separate walk-in shower.

Most full bathroom renovations run two to three weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. A shower-only replacement or a tub-to-shower conversion is usually finished inside a week. Your written estimate carries the schedule for your specific room.
